Málþing um Palestínu og Afganistan: Þverþjóðlegur vitnisburður

Í tilefni af sýningu heimildarmynda um Palestínu og Afghanistan verður haldið málþing á vegum RIFF (Reykjavík International Film Festival) og Alþjóðlegs jafnréttisskóla við Háskóla Íslands (GET-programme). Auk fulltrúa GET munu Janus Mets, leikstjóri Armadillo, Fahad Jabali, einn af leikstjórum Veturs á Gasa og Sharon Ward, og framleiðandi myndarinnar Eiturlyf í Afganistan, taka þátt í umræðum. Karl Blöndal aðstoðarritstjóri Morgunblaðsins stýrir umræðum.

Málþingið fer fram í Þjóðminjasafninu, föstudaginn 24. September klukkan 16:00- 17:30.

In connection with this year’s RIFF documentaries on Palestine and Afghanistan, a symposium will be held in co-operation with the Gender Equality Training Program of the University of Iceland (GET), where students from Afghanistan and Palestine are now studying. Participants will include GET’s representatives, Janus Metz, director of Armadillo, Fahad Jabali, one of the directors of Gaza’s Winter, and Sharron Ward, producer of Addicted in Afghanistan. The moderator of the event will be Karl Blöndal, deputy editor of the Icelandic newspaper Morgunblaðid.

The symposium will take place in the National Museum, Friday the 24th of September, between 16:00-17:30.
